Payment Terms

For repair work under £1,000 we invoice on completion with payment within 14 days. For larger jobs we require a deposit of 20–25% on acceptance of the written quote, with stage payments where the job duration exceeds one week, and the balance on satisfactory completion. We accept bank transfer, card and cheque. We do not accept cash-only payments — all transactions are documented for both parties' protection.

24/7 Coverage — What This Actually Means

Our 24/7 emergency line is answered by a roofer, not a call centre or answering service. When you call at 11pm after a January storm you speak to someone who can assess what you are describing, confirm whether it is a same-day emergency or a priority-booking situation, and give you a realistic arrival time. We do not give a 24/7 availability claim and then ask you to leave a message.

Realistic Response Times by Area

Emergency response time depends on distance and current conditions. Our realistic targets: Birkdale, Ainsdale, Crossens, Churchtown — 15 to 30 minutes. Formby, Ormskirk, Maghull — 20 to 40 minutes. Banks, Burscough, Scarisbrick — 25 to 50 minutes. Tarleton, Hesketh Bank — 30 to 55 minutes. These are driving-time targets under normal road conditions. In severe storm conditions when emergency calls are likely, we allow additional time and communicate estimated arrival clearly.
